Sin of pretty skin

Beauty from within,
It's such a horrid sin,
Hiding behind the veil,
That's not so thin,
Don't hide that pretty skin.

Let your light shine on,
And to you we come,
Moths to a flame,
Nobody is the same,
As the one next,
Or the ones before.

You are your own world,
A universe shining bright,
Something unique,
Ready to be explored.

So it is here I implore,
That world you explore,
And know the you within,
Wrapped in that pretty skin,
That you constantly cover,
In thick and never thin,
Veils of falsity and sin.

Call to you we may,
And yet you run away,
Further still when we say:
"Don't hide from us again,
We love your light,
Your lantern burning bright,
It shines from within,
That beautiful bare skin."
Read an article today about some girls that formed a "no make-up on tuesdays" club. Thought it was really cool and inspired me to write a little. I think this one turning out well, but since it was largely on the fly if you see something off feel free to say so.

Final message? Don't fall into the "Sin of pretty skin." ;)

O_O Wow...this actually inspires me. =D ^_^ It makes me proud that I don't wear make up all the time...and it makes me appreciate who I am, naturally. =D Well done! And I love the rhyme scheme. =D
